The extradition Act 2003 implemented the European Arrest Warrant which led to increased extradition requests from EU Member States.
In addition, controversial recent changes to extradition arrangements with the US have removed the requirement for the US to provide evidence prior to extradition. Consequently, there have been an increased number of extradition requests for white collar offences which took place primarily in the UK.
In defending extradition requests we are able to advise and represent from the earliest moment, often prior to arrest, so as to minimize any stress and anxiety attendant upon this often harrowing and long winded process.
